SAVOIE

Office De Tourisme De Tignes ...only ones's in Tignes SAVOIE On its own Tignes must be rated as one of the finest ski resorts in Europe. Great weather and skiing for all levels of skiers and an extensive lift system. When coupled with Val d'Isere to form Killy's World there are 90 lifts and 186 miles of trails—153 pistes. Val d'Isere goes back to Roman and medieval times; Tignes was purpose built.

Tignes is doubly impressive in this photo of its man-made lake.
