ALTO ADIGE (SOUTH TYROL)

(German speaking region) A beautiful resort near the Italian-Austrian border, in the midst of the Alpine circle. A mass of mountains which rise to 3,950 meters. Near the principal city of Merano, which is a health resort of world fame.

Other Information: German language and traditions. Val Senales offers a highly developed network of facilities and is accessible from major airports. Above the glacier is the spot where Ötzi, the 5,000-year-old “Iceman” was found. He is now the chief attraction in the Bolzano museum, only 34 miles away.
