Geilo (yea-low) remains one of Norway’s most popular alpine resorts. It has a good variety of lodging and services, active après-ski with discos, live-music, and train & car day trips for non-skiers. The resort is open year round with lower summer rates attracting fisherman, hikers and boaters. Considered one of Norway’s better all-around resorts.
