Hafjell was one of the main venue sites for alpine events in the 1994 Olympics. Although Hafjell has been around since 1939 it was a long time developing into an alpine ski center. Along with Kvitfjell these two areas were featured as Lillehammers alpine sites. The center is nine miles north of Lillehammer.
