The ski center of the resort is located in Voss, a nice town close to the coastal city of Bergen and the fjord district of Hardanger and Sogn. Several World Cup competitions have been held here, in both alpine and free style disciplines. Voss has raised several Olympic gold medal winners, among them Kari Traa and Jan Einar Thorsen. Voss is a full-service town with much to see and do.
